For the eighth straight year, there will be no increase at the Town of Oyster Bay's four community park pool complexes, according to Town Councilman Chris J. Coschignano.

Úquot;I am pleased to tell town residents that the town board has approved a schedule of fees for our four community park pool complexes that reflects no increase since 1996,Úquot; Coschignano stated. Úquot;That makes our pools an excellent value for your vacation dollar.Úquot;

The fees for family memberships at the town's community park pool complexes...Bethpage, Marjorie R. Post (Massapequa), Plainview-Old Bethpage and Syosset-Woodbury...are $140 for park district residents and $170 for non-park district resident while individual memberships are $80 for park district residents and $95 for non-park district residents. Park district resident senior citizen (60 and older) couple and non-resident senior citizen couple pool memberships are $80 and $95, respectively, while the fee for park district resident senior individuals and non-resident senior individuals are $45 and $55 respectively. The rate for handicapped individuals with a Social Security Medicare ID Card are $40 for park district residents and $50 for non-residents. Daily admissions for those accompanied by a pool member are $4 for children ages 3 to 15, $6 for adults 16 and older, and $4 for seniors. Again this year, a nanny membership will be available for $95 for the season.

Coschignano noted that guest books will also be available. The cost of a book with 10 admissions will be $30. Purchase must be made by a pool member, and those using passes must be accompanied by a pool member.

Úquot;The 2004 pool season will run from Saturday, June 26, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6,Úquot; Coschignano said. Úquot;From June 26 through Friday, July 2, the pools will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Beginning Saturday, July 3, and running through Sunday, Aug. 22, the hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. From Monday, Aug. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 5, pools will be open from noon to 8 p.m. On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6, the hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.Úquot;

The councilman added that town pool membership applications will be mailed to former pool members before the season begins. Beginning Saturday, May 29, and continuing through July 8, registration will be conducted Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and holidays from noon to 6 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 7 p.m. Starting July 9, registration will be conducted Sunday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Residents must bring proof of residency such as a tax bill, driver's license or utility bill that has their name and address.
