Richard Eyester, a longtime resident of Farmingdale, died on Feb. 25, 2004. Beloved husband of Gail Carpenter. Devoted father of Brian Richard Eyester, Richard Eyester II, Ronald Eyester, James Eyester, Trenise Carpenter and boyfriend Thomas Krawchuk, Kristen Eyester and boyfriend Wayne Wade, Kerri Carpenter and fiancé Emerson Kirton, Lauren Eyester and boyfriend James Perez. Also loving friend of Gary Carpenter, Diane Eyester, Mr. and Mrs. David Hurrell and many more. Loving brother of Ronald, Freddie, Carl, Robert, Nancy, Louise and Charles Eyester. As well as a loving uncle. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Lela Wade, Shari Wade, Jaelynn Perez and there is one on the way. Marie A. Morrison, of West Babylon, died on March 6, 2004. Wife of the late Francis. Mother and mother-in-law of Kevin and Patricia, Keith and Pamela, Robin, William and Margaret. Grandmother of nine. Great-grandmother of four. Toner (Nee Poole), 52, died on March 7, 2004. Wife of Wayne J. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Graveside service at Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Gerard F. Grant died on March 9, 2004. Husband of Rose (nee Fallon). Rod was a P.I.C. at the New York Daily News and a marine in WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post #94 and the Marine Corps League. He was also a former manager of Little League and an avid golfer. Father of Gerard, Carolyn, Judi, Jim, Patti and Kathleen and their spouses. Grandpa to all his "Gitta-Gitta's." Brother of Florence. Twiname Jr., of Lindenhurst, died on March 9, 2004. Wife of Katherine. Mother of Margaret Ann (Jerry), William, John (Jane) and Thomas (Mary). Grandfather of four. Brother of Gertrude and Sissy. John Michael Connolly, 68, died on March 10, 2004 after an extended illness at Cabrini Medical Center. A lifelong resident of NYC, Mr. Connolly was born Aug. 31, 1935 to the late John and Mary (Sapega) Connolly. John proudly served his country as a corporal in the US Marines during the Korean War. He worked as a NYC fireman for 23 years, retiring as a Fire Marshal. After retirement he served as a fire safety officer for 15 years at Tishman Speyer. John is survived by his sisters, Patricia Connolly of Astoria and Darleen Connolly of Queens; brothers, Michael Connolly of Bethpage, Raymond Connolly of Carthage, NY, and Peter Connolly of Cortlandt. He also leaves five nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Ferruzza, of Bethpage, formerly of Ozone Park, died on March 12, 2004. He was a US Naval veteran and served in the Pacific during WWII. Husband of 54 years of Christina. Father and father-in-law of Rosemarie and Jack Kirnan, Nancy and Anthony Evangelista, Vincent and Yvonne Ferruzza, Theresa and Terrence Jordan. Grandfather of Sean, Kristin, Rachel, Anthony, Nicholas, Vincent, Nicole, Christian, Andrew, Matthew, Danielle, Christina and Natalie. Brother of Charles, Leonard, Salvatore and Frances. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Mark J. Garrish, of Farmingdale, died on March 13, 2004. Husband of Nancy. Father of Mark Jr. and Suzanne. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale.
