Joseph Saladino Elected Assemblyman of 12th District
On Tuesday, residents of the 12th Assembly District elected Republican Joseph Saladino to be their representative in the Assembly. Saladino succeeds former Assemblyman Steve Labriola, who vacated the seat in January after being elected to the town clerk's office in the Town of Oyster Bay. Massapequan Saladino, who received 3,501 votes, defeated William Funk, also of Massapequa, who received 1,689.

Residents Invited to Hike Alongside Bethpage Parkway
Highlighting their efforts to achieve state park designation for the only section of the Nassau-Suffolk Trail not yet part of a park or preserve, the Friends of Massapequa Preserve will be hosting a hike this Sunday, March 14, beginning at 11 a.m.
