Sarah Anne Cullen, of Farmingdale, died on Jan. 28, 2004. Wife of the late Edward J. Mother and mother-in-law of James and Ellen, Edward A. and Kathleen and Eileen and Peter Nawrocki. Grandmother of Jennifer, Edward, Christopher, Connor, Cameron, Mariah and Alanna. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. John Paul (Big John) Hornak, of Great Neck, died on Jan. 31, 2004. Father and father-in-law of J.P. and Barbara Hornak. Grandfather of Robert A. Hornak and Stephen M. and Kimberly Hornak. Great-grandfather of Tyler. Companion of Mary Scott. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Josephine M. Eisinger, of Bethpage, died on Jan. 31, 2004. Wife of the late Joseph. Mother of Mary Muscolo and Joseph Eisinger. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. David Peter Falkowski, 65, a lifelong resident of Melville, died on Feb. 2, 2004. Brother of Vincent, Bernard, William, Charles, Anne Mruz, Mary Michaels and Helen Schnaderbeck. He was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment Trinity Cemetery, N. Amityville.

Fred Rathgeber, 73, of Farmingdale and West Gilgo Beach, died at his winter home in Florida on Feb. 3, 2004. He was a former Farmingdale Village trustee, board of director of Sunrise Federal Savings & Loan, firefighter and commissioner of the Farmingdale Fire Dept., president of the West Gilgo Beach Association and owner of the former Fred & Fred Lumber Yard in Massapequa for over 40 years.

During the Korean War he served in the Army as a lieutenant. He was a dedicated church elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When Mr. Rathgeber wasn't overseeing the lumber yard operation he could be found spending his free time walking the beach with his wife Barbara or family members. He was an avid fisherman, tennis player and loved to sail the Great South Bay. During his Farmingdale High School and college days Fred played football, was on the wrestling and track teams and one of his high school track records was only broken a few years ago.

Beloved husband of Barbara of 51 years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Dave and Lois, Gary and Linda, Kathleen and Richard Psillos, Barbara and John Cadwallader, Patti and Robert Lee. Also survived by 24 grandchildren. The family received friends at the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Religious service was held on Feb. 8. Interment Amityville Cemetery.

Gabriel A. Martinez-Tecco, of Farmingdale, died on Feb. 3, 2004. Husband of Nelly. Father of Christine Ciocci, E. Martinez and Robert Martinez. Brother of Louise. Grandfather of three. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Cremation private. Arthur Affa Sr., of Bethpage, died on Feb. 7, 2004. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was predeceased in 1998 by his wife, Vincenza. Father of Arthur Jr., Anthony and Andrew. Also survived by his daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
