To assure obtaining a 2004 parking permit to park at Farmingdale Long Island Rail Road Station, commuters are requested to file early, as existing permits expire January 31.

Applications with instructions and fee information are available at Village Hall and Farmingdale train station, or can be downloaded at the village website: www.Farmingdalevillage.org. Preference is given to those existing permit holders. First time applicants are placed on a waiting list.

Permits are required to park in the commuter parking lot at the station and on So. Front Street. Limited daily-metered parking spaces are also available for the occasional commuters. After 4 p.m. (until 4 a.m.) and on weekends, parking is free, according to Village Clerk John Giordano.

Further parking permit information can be obtained by calling 249-0093.
