Herbert L. Ketcham, of Farmingdale, died on Jan. 5, 2004. He was WWII Army veteran and past captain of the Farmingdale Fire Dept. Husband of Barbara. Father of Faith Arena. Brother of Robert R. Ketcham. Uncle of Wayne and Gail. Grandfather of Paul Michael Arena. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Interment Powell Cemetery, Farmingdale. Louis Ross Laureanti, 84, died on Jan. 9, 2004. Father of Ross Louis and Kim. Brother of Alfred Laureanti and Mable Laureanti. Friend of Kathy Benson. He was predeceased by his children, Robert (1965) and Valerie (1966). Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment LI National Cemetery, Pinelawn. Catherine "Kay" Schwarting died on Jan. 11, 2004. Wife of the late John. Mother of Cathie Schwarting, Joan Castellane and Patricia Schaffner. Mother-in-law of James and Charles. Grandmother of Heather, Jimmy, Johnny and Kristin. Sister of Rita O'Dowd, Marie Ryder, Dorothy Mulreed, Joseph Lynch and Frank Lynch, the late John Lynch, the late William Lynch and the late Joanann Lynch. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, friends and her pal Griffey. Arrangements were made by the Fredrick J. Chapey & sons Bethpage Funeral Home. Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. James RC Church. Cremation to follow. Fred C. Bevilacqua, longtime resident of Farmingdale, died at New Island Hospital on Jan. 13, 2004. Fred was born April 15, 1916 in Austria. He was a survivor of Buchewald Concentration Camp. He and his wife, Annamae, resided for many years on Prospect St. in Farmingdale. Fred was a retired electrician with Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage. His wife, Annamae (nee Rathgeber) passed away in 1989. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Edna Guttenberger; and his friend Bill Kudrick. As per his wishes, there was no wake. His remains were cremated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Jan. 31 at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 315 Conklin St., Farmingdale, from 9 to 11 a.m. St. Luke's Lutheran Church Pastor Rodney L. Eberhardt will preside over a service at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Robert W. Weldon Sr. (Bob), of South Farmingdale, died unexpectedly on Jan. 15, 2004. A US Army veteran of WWII, he was a retired staff engineer of the NY Telephone Company and a lifetime member and former coach of the Farmingdale Midget Football Association. Husband of 53 years to Catherine "Honey" Weldon. Father of Bobby and Patricia. Brother of Tom (Helen) and Ken (Pat) Weldon. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment North Babylon Cemetery. William J. Williams, of Bethpage, died on Jan. 16, 2004. A Korean War veteran, he was a retired superintendent of facilities for Grumman Aerospace. He was ex-captain of Engine Company #7 and honorary deputy chief of the Bethpage Fire Dept. He was a member of the NYS Board of Fire Underwriters. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Virginia in September 2003. "Daddy" to his beloved dogs, Jesse and Gidget. Brother and brother-in-law of Marie and Bill Wise of Massachusetts, Clara and Kenneth Asklund, Catherine and Lee Burger and Joan and George Scally. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A firematic service was held on Jan. 20. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Frances E. Zuk, lifelong resident of Bethpage, died on Jan. 16, 2004. She was a longtime employee of Grumman Aerospace, Bethpage. Sister and sister-in-law of Julie and Eric Ohman, Ben and Marge Zuk, Bill and Fran Zuk, Marge and Bob Disch and Arlene Smart. Aunt of Benny, Ron, Rich, Bill, Bob, Eric, Gary, Stuart, Jim, Andy, John, Suzanne, Cheryl, Karen, Loralie, Bonnie and Will. Also survived by 24 grandnieces and grandnephews. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Cremation private. Frederick R. Maney, of Bethpage, died on Jan. 17, 2004. He was a US Army retired veteran. He was predeceased in 1989 by his wife Betty. Father of Patricia Hart, Fred Jr., Peter and Timothy. Grandfather of Matthew Hart, Kevin Hart, Katie Hart, Carolyn Maney and Melissa Maney. Brother of Martin Maney. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. Bernadetta Perino, 94, died on Jan. 20, 2004. White Funeral Home. Prayer service held at the funeral home. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Robert E. Tschan, of Hicksville, died on Jan. 21, 2004. He was predeceased by his wife Emily. Father of Judith Campbell (Robert). Grandfather of Laura, Matthew, Sean and Jennifer. Great-grandfather of seven. Great-great-grandfather of two. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F.
