Columbus Lodge Members Join NY Yankee for Charity Event
On Thursday, February 5, the Roy White Foundation will hold a charity dinner at Leonard's of Great Neck. Proceeds from the event will provide athletic scholarships for graduating high school seniors. The event gives everyone who attends the opportunity to meet various New York Sports Legends. Invited are Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Islanders, Rangers, and Knicks from the past.

The old saying "time flies" surely rings true for the owners of Captain Andy's restaurant, Sven and Boel Brost. After all the ups and downs of the restaurant industry, the couple has sold their business at 196 Main Street and is retiring after 42 years.

Farmingdale SAAC Attends Toys of Hope Christmas Party
The Farmingdale State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has been working for the past four years with the Toys of Hope Charity of Huntington. Throughout the year, Toys of Hope delivers toys, books, clothes and other items to families and children in the Long Island area. The charity is directed by Melissa Doktofsky and is a volunteer-based organization, where 100 percent of all donations go directly toward helping needy children.

St. Kilian Sixth-Grade Boys Ice St. Brigid
As the snow and rain fell outside on Jan. 18, Tom Cinelli's red hot St. Kilian Boys sixth-grade basketball team traveled to Westbury to meet the undefeated St. Brigid team. Like the freezing temperature outside, St. Kilian froze out the St. Brigid offense and defeated them by a score of 50 to 26.
