The Friends of Farmingdale Athletics (FFA) held their January monthly meeting in the Community Center at Allen Park where the Farmingdale High School (FHS) Fall 2003 Varsity Season student-athletes, featured in the weekly Farmingdale Observer "Spotlight" column, were honored by the organization. In excess of 60 residents turned out to show their support to the group of honorees on a bitterly cold winter's night. Family and friends, along with local dignitaries, including Town of Oyster Bay Councilwoman Rose Walker, Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias and Mayor Trudden from the Village of Farmingdale were on hand to congratulate the recipients. President of the Friends of Farmingdale Athletics, Frank Nocerino also made presentations to Josephine Macchia, Kathy Mulligan, Frank Brennan, Walt Celenski, John Danowski, Lenny Panarelli, Bill Presti and Bill Treubig recognizing their contributions to the origins and expansion of the club. Current FFA Board Member, Ray Webb, presented a plaque to Frank Nocerino as well, commending his accomplishments. The following FHS students were given certificates and FFA jerseys in appreciation of their achievements both on and off the field. Every one of these Dalers excels in academics, athletics and community service programs.
