The 2003 Farmingdale Dalers varsity football team recently completed another winning season (7-3) when they reached the Nassau County Conference I Championship Final at Hofstra University for the fourth consecutive year.
The Dalers defeated the East Meadow Jets in the semifinal game 21-0 and faced the undefeated Freeport Red Devils for the championship final. In a tight game entering the 4th quarter the Dalers lost to Freeport 28-7. It was the closest game Freeport, who went on to win the Long Island Championship, played all year.
Farmingdale MVPs of the Nassau County Conference I Championship game: Anthony Camacho (tight end/defensive back) MVP defense, and David Probst (quarterback), MVP offense. The awards were presented at the Nassau County Gridiron Awards banquet held at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
