As a lifelong resident of the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale, [I know that] quite often things go unnoticed or taken for granted.

I would like to commend the Department of Public Works for the fine job of cleaning Main Street this past Columbus Day weekend. I had occasion to be on Main Street at about 7 p.m. Saturday and it was as though there was no fair as the trashcans and street were clean. True to form, the same was done for the parade on Sunday.
