Cremation private. Anthony "Tony" Orobona, 92, of Bristol, TN, died on Aug. 16, 2003, in Wellmont Hospice House. Mr. Orobana was a native of NY. Before coming to Bristol, he had been a Farmingdale volunteer fireman since 1927. He had lived in Bristol for the past six years. He retired in 1975 from Republic Aviation in Farmingdale. Mr. Orobona was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Orobona of Bristol; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Bannish of Bristol; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sharon Orobona of Naples, FL; three brothers, Frank Orobona of LI, Don Orban of Florida, and Ray Orobona of Florida; two grandchildren, Jill Christine Bannish and Brian Leonard Bannish. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held on Aug. 19 at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Maier, celebrant, and Rev. Mr. Harry Hall, assisting and hmelist.
