Farmingdale 11-year-old Green Tournament Team players won two out of three skills competitions held at the R.Y.O. Tournament. Three players represented the Farmingdale Green Team in the skills competition held on July 5, immediately following the team's hard-fought fourth game. A total of 12 teams were represented in each of the tournament skill competition venues - throwing, batting and running.
Joseph Castrogiovanni took second place in the throwing competition. Joseph pushed the level of competition to a head-to-head showdown between the ultimate winner and himself.
Gregory Coppola won first place in the batting competition and received a trophy for earning the title of the 2003 R.Y.O. Batting Champion.
Jake Rachiele won the base-running competition with a time of 3.09 seconds for a 60-foot distance. He was awarded the 2003 R.Y.O. Running Champion trophy and title.
Congratulations to all three FBLI players for turning in such sparkling performances during the tournament games and for their dominating competition results!
