Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto recently announced that the Town of Oyster Bay's renowned Úquot;Music Under The StarsÚquot; program, featuring more than five weeks of free evening entertainment at various town locations, begins this Monday, July 7. The first installment of the concert series will take place at Ellsworth Allen Town Park in Farmingdale.
Úquot;On Monday, July 7, maestro Dean Karahalis and the Concert Pops of Long Island will kick off the 'Music Under the Stars' 2003 series at Ellsworth W. Allen Town Park with their music from Broadway, pops, Hollywood and more,Úquot; Venditto said. Úquot;The performance, co-sponsored by State Bank of Long Island, is expected to draw a very large crowd. And on Tuesday, July 8, critically acclaimed singer Julius LaRosa will have hearts aglow during an engaging evening of rich ballads in the classic cabaret style, courtesy of co-sponsor Commerce Bank.Úquot;
According to Venditto, on Wednesday, July 9, you'll be rockin' 'n' rollin' back to the exciting era of The Beatles when the cast of Beatlemania takes the stage at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park. Premier Wine & Spirits is co-sponsoring the performance. On Thursday, July 10, John F. Kennedy Middle School, 500 Broadway in Bethpage, will provide the stage for Úquot;A Swinging Night of MusicÚquot; courtesy of the Crescent City Maulers. This concert is co-sponsored by New Island Hospital. On Friday, July 11, Emil Stucchio & The Classics will thrill audiences with their full orchestra and exceptional vocal abilities at Tappen Beach, Glenwood Landing. Rounding out the week on Saturday, July 12, the town will present Linda Ciofalo & the Big Band at Marjorie R. Post Community Park in Massapequa. This show is co-sponsored by Wal-Mart.
