I greatly appreciate the Farmingdale Observer covering the Concerned Citizens Association of Farmingdale's meeting when I spoke about how Nassau OTB has acquired the Raven's Nest property. However, a point of clarification needs to be made. It was reported that the demolition would be awarded to the "highest responsible bidder." In fact the award for the demolition would have to go to the contractor with the low bid (lowest price) who was deemed responsible.

Another point of clarification that needs to be made is the scope of the project. The first phase of the project would be the demolition of the Raven's Nest structure. This would hopefully be completed by the end of the summer. The second phase of the project, the use of the site, is yet to be finalized.

Nassau OTB is proud to make possible the removal of the remnants of an adult club. The Raven's Nest will soon be a thing of the past for the citizens of Farmingdale.
