Farmingdale Baseball's 53rd Season Underway
The 53rd season of Farmingdale Baseball is now under way. The league has over 1,000 players (boys and girls ages 6-17) who participate in their baseball and softball programs. The league, which is partially funded by the Farmingdale Youth Council, has a team of dedicated volunteers who serve as league directors, managers and coaches. They in turn elect their board of directors, who oversees the operation of the overall league. Each year, the league, with the assistance of Winning Beyond Winning, provides free instructional clinics to its players by ex-major league ball players. The league is an active member of the Community Summit Council, participating in all their events. This year's officers include President Tom Sabellico, First Vice President Frank Nocerino, Vice President Jim Darcy, Vice President Robert Kirk, Vice President Les Noto, Vice President Joann Vasquez, Secretary Bob Kendrick and Treasurer Dan Kornfeld.
