School District Presents Proposed Budget for 2003-2004
At a special board of education meeting held on March 19, the proposed budget for the 2003-2004 school year was presented. The presentation was made by Assistant Superintendent for Business John Lorentz, who explained that changes are still continuing to be made and that the board has until April 15 before it has to officially adopt the budget for voter approval.

2003 Farmingdale PAL Girls Lacrosse Season Opens Successfully
The Farmingdale PAL Spirit, playing in the Long Island Senior Club Girls Youth Lacrosse League (LISGYLL) for seventh and eighth grade girls, won their home and season opener on Saturday against Plainedge, 15-7.

Sons of Italy Walk for Education May 3
New York Order Sons of Italy in America (NYSOSIA) President Joseph J. DiTrapani, in conjunction with the New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc., announced their sponsorship of the Sixth Annual "Walk for Education" which is scheduled to take place on May 3 at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, Parking Field 5 in the Cherry Picnic area. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will step off at 10 a.m. for the three-mile route.
