Farmingdale State to Host Annual Event
Farmingdale State University will be the host of this year's Relay for Life, an overnight celebration of hope, progress and answers held in honor and celebration of millions of Americans who have survived cancer, to remember those who lost their lives to cancer and to raise funds to fight the disease.

Farmingdale - A Community of Opportunity
The Farmingdale Community Summit Council, Inc. is hosting the first annual Farmingdale Summit on Thursday, March 6 at Farmingdale High School from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event, entitled "Farmingdale - A Community of Opportunity," will feature an Expo Hall, Health Fair, Town Hall Meeting with elected officials, food and entertainment. There is no admission fee and door prizes and promotional materials will be distributed.

GLIRC Presents Proceeds of Ho Ho Ho Run to Local Charities
Among the highlights of the Feb. 18 meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) was the presentation of substantial checks to three most worthy beneficiaries of the successful 2002 Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run - the Bretton Bowl Fund for the needy families of Bethpage, the Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education and Long Island Track & Field. Ho Ho Ho Run Co-Directors Joe Sturgess and Bob Sherman made the presentations.
