Brian Peter McPartland, formerly of Carle Place, died suddenly at the age of 52 in Hollywood, FL. He was a 1972 graduate of Bentley College and a longtime employee of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Father of Clare and Shea. Son of the late Anita and Jack. Companion of Dorothy. Brother of Jay, Suellen Blum, Stephen, Marykae Lueck, Myles and Steven Gorga. Fun-loving uncle and truest friend. He was a retired supervisor for Pergament. Husband of the late Henrietta. Brother of Ruth Ann Knudsen and the late Robert Knudsen. Also survived by two nephews and four nieces. Robert P. Coleman, 74, of Newtown, died peacefully on Feb. 12, 2003 at Chandler Hall Hospice with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he had been a resident of Newtown for the past nine years. He attended the University of Detroit. In 1990 he retired from General Motors Corp., Chevrolet Division in Detroit, MI, after over 30 years of service in the spring and bumper division.

Bob was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. He was an avid runner for 35 years, when running was not as popular and he did it wearing a sweatshirt and khakis. Bob was a member of the "Early Morning Golf Group" that played as the sun came up and whoever lost had to buy the coffee before the golf course opened for the regulars at 8 a.m.

The caring side of Bob was very evident not only for his family and friends but also by devoting his time, talent and treasure to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Burtha Sarah Fisher Home for Children in Southfield, MI, for many years.

Son of the late James J. and Gertrude M. Lenihan Coleman, husband of the late Mary A. Moore Coleman, father of the late Jane Coleman and brother of the late Beatrice Mulrennan and Maureen Murphy. Bob is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Dermot Kennedy of Richboro, Susan and Thomas Steinhauer of Bronxville, NY, Kate and Declan Boland of Hingham, MA, and Beth and Don Chiercici of Rancocas, NJ. Also surviving are his two brothers James Coleman of Woodmont, CA, and William Coleman of Fairfield, CT and his sister Marilyn Coleman of Stratford, CT and his 10 grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, Richboro, PA. Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Andrew, Newtown. Contributions can be made in his memory to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940.
