The 9-year-old Hawks were treated to the unique experience of exhibition play during halftime at the pivotal Jets-Packers game. Many of the boys, never having been to a pro game, had the thrill of running out on the field as their names were announced and being cheered on by the crowd. At the end of play, there was a brief chance to see the Jets players up close and to slap hands with kicker John Hall. The team left the field exhilarated. To those watching closely at home, you may have caught a glimpse of the boys on the sidelines.

The parents would like to thank mom, Barbara Brescia, for her efforts in arranging this special opportunity. The team wishes a speedy recovery to safety Thomas Penza who broke his arm the day before, but attended anyway to cheer on his teammates. Also, they send good luck to player Chris Rothstein who was "traded " to Portland. The season has come to a close, but the team and their parents take away great memories.
