Pataki Signs Senator Fuschillo's .08 Legislation into Law
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. announced last week that his legislation to lower the legal blood alcohol content level (BAC) from .10 percent to .08 percent was signed into law by Governor Pataki. The new law allows for the suspension of a license pending prosecution if the BAC at arrest is .08 percent or more.

Columbus Lodge Volunteering at Telecare Telethon
Once again the members of the Columbus Lodge #2143 will travel to the Uniondale studios of Telecare to take part in the annual Telecare Telethon. The members are scheduled to take pledges on Jan. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. "It's great having them back," said Joann Beattie, a producer at Telecare.

Hawks Visit the Meadowlands
The 9-year-old Hawks were treated to the unique experience of exhibition play during halftime at the pivotal Jets-Packers game. Many of the boys, never having been to a pro game, had the thrill of running out on the field as their names were announced and being cheered on by the crowd.
