Holiday Surprise for Farmingdale Youth Board Little Friends
The holiday season was extra special for several Farmingdale youngsters in the Big Friend/Little Friend program. Tom Montabono of the Recycle-A-Cycle program of the Town of Oyster Bay and Tim Quill of the Community and Youth Services Department were able to provide lucky Little Friends with new bicycles and helmets to each youngster. The project was coordinated by the Farmingdale Youth Board and the Department of Community and Youth Services of the Town of Oyster Bay.

Resident Donates Hair to 'Wigs for Kids'
Farmingdale resident Diana Marinaccio has had long hair for as long as she can remember. Nine-year-old Diana, a fourth grader at Old Bethpage Elementary School, has always been a loving and giving girl and often received compliments on her pretty smile and striking long brown hair. Now she will receive extra compliments for doing a good deed. Just in time for the holiday season, this youngster provided a wonderful gift for a child in need.

Penn State senior forward Christie Welsh (of Massapequa Park) concluded her brilliant career with the Nittany Lions by helping her team reach the final four of the NCAA College Cup. she will leave Penn State as the most decorated women's soccer player in the school's history.
