Assemblyman Jim Conte announced last week that he is hosting the 15th annual holiday drive to collect infant and toddler items for Long Island families in need.

"From now through the holiday season, I encourage you to drop off infant and toddler items at my district office," said Conte. "The items collected will be distributed to local homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, church organizations and families in our community who are less fortunate."

According to Conte, the following new and gently used items are needed:

* Diapers

* Baby wipes

* Baby formula

* Baby bottles

* Blankets

* Car seats

* Playpens

* Cribs

* Strollers

"During this special time of year, there is no better way to share what we can with families and children who are less fortunate," said Conte. "I hope you will join me in helping a family in need."

Area residents may drop off donations at Assemblyman Conte's office located at 1783 New York Avenue in Huntington Station, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For additional information on the "Caring for Children" holiday drive, contact Assemblyman Conte at 631-271-8025.
