Guests celebrate with the Hawks at their 40th anniversary dinner.

The night was a tremendous success due to the participation of members past and present along with all local and state politicians. Helping to celebrate our 40 years of excellence were our first President Jim Keats who traveled from Saratoga, NY, fellow founding father Bob White, the Moroney family, along with parents of our current members the Kirk's and Brienza's to name a few. Many of our members brought along great memorabilia from our history which unfortunately included pictures of many of us in our younger years with some great haircuts and outfits!!!
We were also fortunate to have Bud Krumenacker and Don Snyder attend and Coach Snyder shared his thoughts of players who grew up with the Hawks' and how prepared they were when they got to high school.
Coach also introduced our special guest speaker, ex-hawk and pro football player Ron Heller who came in from Montana to join the festivities along with his remaining local family. Ronnie shared some very special thoughts about growing up in the Hawks and some great funny stories about his years in the NFL. Thanks for the great speech Ronnie and donating your time.
John Schmidt from the 1969 Jets also donated his time and entertained us with great Joe Namath stories especially the "Guarantee" story. Thank you very much John for coming.
The Hawk's would like to thank Tom and Stu at The Manor for their hospitality and great food and those who contributed their time to make the event a complete success especially Stu Feiner. A special thanks to Jen Crow who sang the National Anthem at the dinner and the next day at our opening day parade and Outback BBQ. For additional pictures go to our web site at FarmingdaleHawks.org
