The Farmingdale Hawks (A) team played a hard-fought football game this past Sunday against the Farmingdale Hawks 7-year-old (B) team. The game opened up with a change of possessions. In the first half Farmingdale (A) scored to put them up 6-0. They were unable to convert the extra point. This made the score at halftime 6-0.
The second half once again was a hard-fought battle by both teams. The (A) team put together a long drive. The drive ended on a fumble on the two-yard line of the (B) team which kept the score 6-0. Once again the awesome defense of the (A) team took the field. On the second play from scrimmage the defense recorded a safety against the (B) team, making the score 8-0. The (B) team then retaliated with a touchdown making the score 8-6. The (B) team was looking to convert the extra point on the last play of the game. They were unable to do so due to the tenacious defense breaking through the line and tackling the running back in the backfield. This made the final score 8-6 with the Farmingdale (A) team winning its second game in a row. The game was very exciting and both teams are congratulated on a spectacular game.
