Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. is hosting his annual Farmingdale no-cost breast cancer screening day at the Farmingdale Library in cooperation with the Nassau Health Care Corporation. The screening will be on Thursday, Oct. 17 during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Nassau County female residents ages 40 and over will be provided with a mammography, clinical breast examination and instructions. There are no "out of pocket" expenses whether or not the patient has insurance. If insured, the cost of the screening will be billed to the patient's carrier. The patient will need to bring her insurance card, Medicaid or Medicare information to her appointment. The patient and her physician will be notified of her results within two weeks of the examination. Appointments are limited. Please call Senator Fuschillo's office at 546-4100 for an appointment.
