The Farmingdale Hawks U7 soccer team recently won the Farmingdale spring championship. The game was exciting as the boys played to overtime which led to a shootout. Outstanding defensive players were Chad, Andrew and Thomas allowing only one goal throughout the entire game. Troy, the awesome goalie, did an excellent job at shutting down the opponent. During the shootout Troy allowed only one goal to get past him out of four shots. Outstanding effort was done by the awesome halfbacks Ritchie, Nicholas, Prateek and Christopher. They played hard the entire game with fantastic passing and teamwork. The fantastic forwards were Matthew, Ryan and Joseph. The only goal scored in the game was done by Matthew. He was relentless the entire game and it paid off. This way done by a pass from Ryan. Ryan is an awesome player who is always in the right position at the right time. He was unstoppable. Congratulations to the team for a job well done. The team roster is as follows: (top row) Matthew, Troy, Ryan, Chad, Thomas, Christopher; (bottom row) Richie, Joseph, Andrew, Prateek and Nicholas. Not shown in photo is Eric. Coaches did an excellent job all season. The kids had a lot of fun. Thank you to Stu Feiner, Tom DiCarlo and Tim Hill from the parents and the players.
