Priestley Chiropractic, located at 81 Conklin Street in Farmingdale, is hosting a school supply drive in an effort to help low-income families in the Farmingdale area prepare for going back to school.

Camp for Kids Campaign
The Camp for Kids Campaign is sponsored by Transplantation Services University Hospital and Medical Center in Stony Brook. The program is designed specifically for children who suffer from any kind of disease and need dialysis treatments, whether it be post or pre transplant. It provides them with two full weeks of summer camp, all expenses paid.

Athletes Star in 15th Annual Vytra-Tobay Triathlon
Seventeen-year-old Javier Cuevas of North Bergen, New Jersey outkicked Scott Kessler of Cold Spring Harbor and John Lovejoy of Oyster Bay to win the 15th annual edition of the Vytra-TOBAY Triathlon, held in and around Oyster Bay on Sunday morning, Aug. 18. Cuevas, who won the event in 2001 as well, crossed the finish line in 57 minutes, 28 seconds, comfortably in front of Kessler, who finished in 58:55 and Lovejoy, who crossed the finish line at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in 59:20.

'Over the Hill Gang' Report
Barco posted its 12th win of the season with an exciting 11-8 victory over Mers. Again clutch RBI hitting, this week by Terry McPartland, Dave Ringer, Rick Pedone and Bob Diamond, led the offense. Good overall defense, along with a key double play by McPartland, kept Mers from putting together any big innings, allowing Barco to keep its early game lead.
