Robert Theodore Knobloch passed away on Aug. 16, 2002, at the age of 85. He was born March 2, 1917 in Astoria to Frederick and Elizabeth (Messerschmitt) Knobloch. He was known to all that knew and loved him as "Knobby" and he was an avid Yankee's baseball fan.

His parents, three brothers, Fred Knobloch, Frank Knobloch and Herbert Knobloch, and two sisters, Helen Gutheil and Frieda Knobloch precede him in death. Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Sherwood, AR; three daughters, Ruth Anne Redd of Fairfield, CA, Barbette Toland (James) of Hammond, NY and Lois Rachels (Gregory) of Sherwood; five grandchildren, Robert Roth, Crystal Redd, Barbie Roth, Kim Jones and John Rachels; three great-grandchildren, Riley Roth, Malachi Jones and Kaleighla Jones; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
