Volunteers Needed to Clean Up Bethpage Cemetery
While the clean-up process at Bethpage Cemetery was progressing well earlier this year, in recent months some of the foliage, plants and weeds that once plagued the cemetery grounds have been returning and more care is necessary.

Farmingdale School Board Holds Reorganization Meeting
During their July 11 reorganization meeting, the Farmingdale Board of Education voted to maintain the same organization of its board as in 2001-02. Board President Anthony Vitale, Vice President Marie Colalucci and District Clerk Josephine Murray kept their titles. Incumbents Colalucci and Jane Rubinstein were voted back into their position in May. Both trustees ran unopposed.

Columbus Lodge Charity Golf Outing Set for August 29 at Bethpage Golf Course
The Sons of Italy-Columbus Lodge #2143 Golf Committee announced the 6th Annual Columbus Lodge Charity Golf Outing will be on Thursday, Aug. 29th at Bethpage Golf Course, Home of the 2002 US Open. According to Golf Chairman Bill Iannone, the entry fee will be $125 per person and includes an 8AM-shotgun start, golf cart, complementary breakfast, refreshment, snack and dinner.
