The stars are coming out again in Farmingdale and not at night. During the weeks of July 8 and 15, Winning Beyond Winning (WBW) will again be hosting its annual Baseball and Softball Camp for boys and girls, age 8 to 13 at Saltzman East Memorial School in Farmingdale.
WBW's head instructor, former New York Yankee Rusty Torres, said, "I can't wait to get back out on the field with some of my friends and see the excitement on the kids' faces as we teach the game to another generation." Joining Torres, as instructors at the camp, will be former New York Yankees Frank Tepedino, Ryne Duren and Phil Linz, former Toronto Blue Jay Dave Lemanczyk, former Kansas City Royal Bob Tufts, former Pirate Fred Cambria, former Washington Senator, Fred Valentine and longtime New York Yankee batting practice pitcher Tony Ferrara. The campers will also be treated to a fitness demonstration by Hall of Fame boxing referee Arthur Mercante.
Winning Beyond Winning is a not-for-profit, IRS 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to teaching life skills to athletes.
