Now that Governor Pataki has signed the new redistricting plan, I wanted residents in both the Village of Farmingdale and Bethpage areas to understand that their communities are now part of the 10th Assembly District.

I have represented the 10th District in Albany for 14 years. As a third generation Long Islander and a lifelong resident of Huntington Station, I have fought hard to bring the concerns of hardworking middle-class residents to the state Capitol.

Issues such as achieving high standards for our children's education, providing quality health care options and job opportunities for working families are high on my agenda in Albany.

Having represented parts of East Farmingdale for the past 10 years, I look forward to campaigning for re-election and meeting the good residents in the village and surrounding communities.

James D. Conte

Member of Assembly

10th District
