School Administrators Discuss Budget
Members of the Farmingdale School Board and district administrators gathered in the board room at Howitt Middle School last Friday for a press conference regarding the proposed budget for the 2002-2003 school year. All present agreed that the proposed budget is conservative; maintaining continuous student programs without hitting the community with a high tax increase.

The Farmingdale School District and the Wall of Fame Executive Committee will host a ceremony of induction in the lecture hall at Farmingdale High School next Thursday, May 9, beginning at 7 p.m.

"Over the Hill Gang" Report
Barco got off to a terrific start for the new season with an 8-run 1st inning, leading to a 16-8 victory over Moby Drugs. Leading the offense were Bill "Ace" White, Kevin Moloney and Bill Stack (among many). But the key for Barco was their defense; turning 4 double plays and having terrific plays turned in by Tom Burke, Kevin Moloney and Rick Pedone, which kept Moby from putting up big numbers. Best wishes and a fast recovery go out to Terry McPartland, who was to have his knee "scoped" on Monday. It'll be a lot quieter (and less barbs) on the bench for a few weeks, enjoy it guys.

PAL Girls Lacrosse Teams Undefeated
The Farmingdale PAL eighth-grade girls lacrosse team won their fourth straight game 9-8. In an exciting game, Farmingdale dominated but ran into a hot RVC goalie. Their goalie stopped 35 shots.
