As the playoffs approach, things began to heat up last Friday in the PAL 4th/5th grade division. In the first game, Coach Terry McPartland's green team defeated a game black team by the score of 20-4. The Green "Bahama Mama's" were led by Nicole Kellermann, Regina Bates and Brittany Hushion, who all turned in good offensive numbers. Jamie McPartland, Megan Fullam, Jessica Picket and Michele Lambert all contributed fine defensive efforts to hold off the black team.

In the second game, Coach Jerry Mazza's Red "Liberty" defeated a feisty maroon team 30-8. Michelle Kuchinskas and Nicola DeVine led the charge offensively in the first half, scoring and rebounding. In the second, Jackie Mazza, Nicole Andrews and Stephanie Ringbauer took over, all putting in big hoops for the girls. Emily Gold did a fine job setting up her teammates with some nice assists. Molly Geary and Jessica Williams were both offensive and defensive standouts for the maroon team.
