On Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Stuart Thomas Manor, one of the most successful fundraisers in recent memory was held to benefit the Long Island Champion Dalers football team.
This special event, sponsored by the Friends of Farmingdale Athletics, was held to raise money to help defray some of the costs of championship rings and jackets for team members.
Over 375 people came out to the Stuart Thomas Manor for the fun-filled charitable event. Friends of Farmingdale President Frank Nocerino stated "We would like to thank all of the people of the Farmingdale community for all of their support to the Friends of Farmingdale and the athletes. As I've said, 'our mission is to raise money to give it away.' It was great seeing all the alumni, friends and family come out to support the Dalers."
"It was great to see all of the community members who came out to support the players. The coaches and I want to thank the Friends of Farmingdale for organizing this event," said Daler Head Coach Buddy Krummenacker. "It's all about helping out the kids."
The Friends of Farmingdale wish to offer a special thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make this evening such a success. They would also like to thank the North Massapequa Fire Department, master of ceremony and "jockey" Ralph Esposito and the owners of Stuart Thomas Manor, Tom and Stu for their support.
