On Saturday, Jan. 26, the Friends of Farmingdale will host a fundraiser for the Long Island Champion Football Dalers at the Stewart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale at 7 p.m.
All the proceeds from this fun-filled event will go toward defraying the cost of championship rings and jackets for all the members of the football team.
"I approached the Friends of Farmingdale with this idea in order to both lower the cost of the championship rings and jackets for the players as well as to have the community celebrate the tremendous accomplishment of this team," said Daler Head Coach Buddy Krumenacker. "I'm glad that the Friends of Farmingdale is willing to put in its time and efforts along with other community members to ensure that each and every member of the team will receive their well-earned rings and jackets. The coaches and I look forward to this special event."
Friends of Farmingdale President Frank Nocerino added that "Our mission is to raise money for any athletic endeavor to give it away. We are proud to be able to sponsor such a fundraiser to raise money for the Long Island Championship Football team. We hope that our entire community will come out and support this event," he said. "This type of event helps to bring the Farmingdale community closer together, raise money for students, and have an evening of fun all at the same time."
Tickets for the event are $20 each and may be purchased at the door.
