As a result of funding secured by Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. and Assemblyman Steven Labriola , the Town of Oyster Bay will purchase a mobile Speed Monitoring Radar Trailer.

"In an effort to promote safe driving on town roadways, the Speed Monitoring Radar Trailer will alert drivers of their current speed," Fuschillo said. "It's easy mobility will allow the town to place it on different streets throughout the year and offer protection to the residents and their children."

"Speeding in residential areas can be especially hazardous to children," stated Labriola. "Often motorists rush without realizing the speed as to which they travel. This device will alert motorists to the posted speed limit as well as inform them of the speed they are traveling."

"The Speed Monitoring Radar Trailer will assist in our efforts to maintain traffic safety on our roads," said Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto. "Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman Labriola have once again come to the aid of the town and answered the needs of our residents."
