Farmingdale Village Mayor Joseph Trudden pleaded not guilty earlier this week to an assault charge stemming from an October incident where he confronted a boy skateboarding outside McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home on Main Street in Farmingdale.

The Sons of Italy-Columbus Lodge #2143 softball committee announced the selection of five members for the Columbus Lodge Softball Hall of Fame. The inaugural inductees are Joe Bermudez, Vincent DeRosa, John Juba, Tony Lucasse Jr. and Sam Novarro. All of the men selected are either current or former Farmingdale residents and one is a resident of North Massapequa, while three of the inductees went on to become Lodge president.
