Farmingdale Community Summit Council Looks to Help Local Residents
The Farmingdale Community Summit Council, an organization founded by local groups and residents within the Farmingdale School District prior to the World Trade Center attacks on Sept. 11 in an effort to bring the community together, is continuing its quest to help local residents who have suffered as a result of the tragedy. The organization is currently seeking to help local families who are in need of financial assistance as a result of the events.

New Wing Dedicated to Farmingdale Icon
Farmingdale public schools administrators, teachers, students and parents dedicated the new wing of Woodward Parkway Elementary School to 45-year veteran educator Murray Cantor, who retired this past June leaving a legacy of wisdom tempered by kindness. In attendance for the dedication, along with Cantor and his entire family, were Board of Education President Anthony Vitale, Superintendent Dr. Roberta Gerold and WP Principal Anita Solovey.

Dalers Win Long Island Championship
It was Socrates who said that you are what you most consistently do. With that, let's look at the Farmingdale Dalers football program. They have established a tradition in excellence. This is a team that has had undefeated seasons, county championships, an unscored upon season, the award the Rutgers Cup, state, regional and national rankings; you name it, and the Dalers have probably accomplished it. Probably.

Over the Hill Gang Report
The season for 2001 came to the most dramatic ending between the World Trade Center holocaust and our own personal losses. The league extends its sympathy and condolences to any of the "Over the Hill Gang" family and friends, as well as all Americans who were affected.
