The Farmingdale Varsity football team will be playing their first night game under the lights of the Farmingdale High School field against East Meadow tonight, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first game to be played under the lights this year. Residents are invited to come support the team in their first home game, as team members honor the memory of Peter Ganci, who was Chief of the New York City Fire Department as well as a volunteer at the Farmingdale Fire Department, and was lost at the World Trade Center following the Sept. 11 attacks. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and the team is calling it "Red White and Blue" night to honor their country.
