Residents Oppose Parking Lot Proposal
At a meeting of the Farmingdale Village Board Tuesday, Sept. 25, residents living on or near No. Front Street and Melville Road in Farmingdale expressed concern over a parking lot proposal being planned for the area currently occupied by the house of resident Thomas Fiorillo, who lives on North Front Street. The village is looking to acquire the land to expand the lot by parking field 6.

Howitt Expansion Timetable Delayed
Slowed by State approval pipeline --
The move of Farmingdale's sixth grades into the Howitt Middle School has been postponed until September 2003 because expansion plans submitted to New York State last January have taken almost eight months to proceed through a state approval pipeline that at one time took only eight to 10 weeks.
