Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. is hosting his annual no-cost breast cancer screening day at the Farmingdale Public Library, in cooperation with the Nassau Health Care Corporation. Screenings will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Patients will be provided with a mammography, clinical breast examination and instructions for Nassau County female residents ages 40 and over. There are no "out of pocket" expenses, whether or not the patient has insurance. If insured, the cost of the screening will be billed to the patient's carrier. Patients need to bring their insurance card and Medicaid or Medicare information to the appointment. The patient and her physician will be notified of her results within two weeks of the examination. Appointments are limited. Please call Senator Fuschillo's office at 546-4100 for an appointment.
