In the Aug. 10, 2001 edition of the Farmingdale Observer, a photograph was printed with the caption "Soccer Club Praised." In addition to praising the efforts of the recent Farmingdale High School graduates shown in the photo, Supervisor Venditto, Councilmen Muscarella, Symons and Macagnone presented these young adults with college scholarships donated by the Farmingdale Soccer Club. The club makes this annual presentation to children who have contributed or participated in the soccer program, to assist them as they begin their college experience. The graduates who were honored have represented our community in the truest spirit of hard work and teamwork throughout their high school years. The honorees chosen to receive these scholarships were: Dawn Bodine, Andrew Broten, Andrea Campbell, Jennifer Mackin, Deborah Nocerino, Chris Padden, Eric Rozea and Nicholas Venditto. The Farmingdale Scoccer Club extends our best to the recipients and their families and wish them health, happiness and success in their future endeavors.
