In recent years, schools across Long Island have been faced with a rising concern regarding a shortage of qualified administrators and school leaders. In an effort to provide influential and experienced educational leaders across New York State, the Long Island School Leadership Center (LISLC), a new facility created to recruit a sufficient number of both new and experienced administrators, is taking the initiative to nurture and support current administrators and new board members in an effort to improve the current school environment for successful future leaders. Coaches Chris Roche and Bill Horn are extremely proud of their Farmingdale Girls U-9 team, the Farmingdale Freedom. The team has just competed in their first two tournaments. Hard work and three wins and one tie earned the girls first place in a Memorial Day Tournament in Commack. All the girls played well in a Father's Day Tournament at Columbia University with a third place finish. All are looking forward to an exciting future as a new Farmingdale team. FULL STORY

On Saturday, June 9, at Allen Park, Farmingdale Baseball 2001 - Skills Contest "AAA" Division was won by the Marlins. The Marlins took first place in the team skills contest which consisted of hitting, throwing and base-running venues. Teammate Jake Rachiele won the individual base-running contest with a time of 15 seconds. Each participant of the Marlins received a first place medal to commemorate this outstanding team achievement. The Marlins are coached by Paul Leo and Mike Ward. FULL STORY
