With an outstanding record of 12 wins 1 loss, the 11, 12 and 13-year-old boys who play for St. Luke's Church on the Bantam White team participated in the Long Island Lutheran Basketball League. The season ran from November until April and the boys were first place conference winners.

The St. Luke's Bantam White Team was recently named LI Lutheran Basketball League Champions.

The team went on to compete at Lutheran High School against the winner of the other conference. After a close game, the boys of St. Luke's were the LI Lutheran Basketball League Bantam Division Champions. Coach John Wiking credits the success to hard work and true dedication on the part of the team and the overwhelming support of the fans. The team's trademark was the incredible number of fans who traveled with them wherever they played, often outnumbering the fans at home court.
Congratulations to all the players: Jeffery Arezzo, Kyle Dowd, Billy Ferrante, Brendan Lazarus, Marty Lindblad, Derek Ryan, Kevin Siegel, Daniel Schreiner and Chris Toth. The team looks forward to another season but is sad to see Ferrante, Dowd, Ryan, Lazarus and Toth move onto the next division level.
