Tuesday, May 15 was a very important day for the children of Farmingdale. Thank you, Farmingdale community, for approving the school district budget for 2001-02, a year that promises to be most memorable for our schools.
Your support paves the way for important programs, such as the September 2001 full day kindergarten, and the increased enrollment of over 100 students at the Howitt Middle School. Your support provides staff, equipment and the initial payment on bonded construction for these programs, and, as important, for more than 1,000 additional students enrolled on all levels over the past decade. It's gratifying for us to be moving forward on these key educational initiatives with the voters' approval.
We renew our continuing pledge to you: our utmost commitment to our Farmingdale community and its children.
