Future Plans for Liberty Site Discussed
The Concerned Citizens Association of Farmingdale, a new civic society started by residents of the Farmingdale community, held its second meeting regarding future plans of the Liberty Site on May 8 at the Farmingdale Public Library. The association, whose first meeting on May 1 comprised of 22 new members, is against property co-owner Jefry Rosmarin's plans to build a 68,000 square foot supermarket and fueling facility on nine acres in the eastern most portion of the 30 acre site.

Farmingdale School Budget Passes
The budget for the Farmingdale School District passed Tuesday evening, May 15. Administrators, members of the faculty, their families and friends were all on hand at the Howitt East Gymnasium when the announcement was made that 1,893 residents voted for and 1,564 residents voted against the school budget.

Farmingdale Coach Winningest in Nassau County
On Saturday, May 12, the Farmingdale boys lacrosse team defeated Hicksville 10-9. This was a milestone event for Farmingdale as Coach Bob Hartranft won his 500th lacrosse game, making him the winningest coach in the history of Nassau County lacrosse.

Winning Beyond Winning Upcoming Events
Winning Beyond Winning (WBW) is presenting several events this Sunday and early next week. On Sunday, May 20, WBW is presenting a clinic to Felix Millan Little League, Manhattan, NY. Rusty Torres, Gaylord Perry, Ryne Duren, Jim Mudcat Grant, Frank Tepedino and WBW clinicians will present a clinic to 200 members of the Felix Millan Little League. Following the clinic, a reception will be held with athletes Torres, Tepedino, Millan, Ed Figueroa, Perry and Fred Valentine at St. Matthew's Parish Hall in Dix Hills from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
