On April 1, the Farmingdale third-grade PAL boys lacrosse team started their season with a 6-3 win over Long Beach. All the boys played hard and were very strong on ground balls, especially Brandon Romano, Brian Donaldson and Sean Naus. Dan Rogers had an impressive four-goal game, with Tyler O'Connor and Keith Hadagy each adding a goal to secure the victory. Bobby McDonough stayed incredibly tough in the goal the whole game to limit Long Beach to only 3 scores.
During their next game, held on April 8, the Farmingdale third-graders had a tough loss to Rockville Centre 7-5. James Merrill, Keith Hadagy and T.J. Murphy were very tough on defense to stop the attack. Sean Naus scored the first goal followed by Joseph McCabe and Danny Rogers scoring 2 goals apiece. Patrick Turtell and Liam O'Connor, were up and down the field with relentless pressure and pursuit showing great stamina.
The team's third game was held on April 22 where the boys lit up the scoreboard with an impressive 10-8 victory over Cold Spring Harbor. Dan Rogers led Farmingdale's scoring with 4 goals followed by Sean Naus with 3 and then Joseph McCabe, Keith Hadnagy and Tyler O'Connor with a goal apiece. Goalie Bobby McDonough was remarkable with 18 saves in the cage. On attack, Luke Alber did a great job riding Cold Spring Harbor's defense to keep the ball at Farmingdale's end. Jimmy Merrill, Sean Donaldson and Glen Kohlman were very tough on Harbor's attackmen limiting any movement toward the crease.
