On Friday, March 2, the Over the Hill Gang held its annual awards night. It was a great time for all the teams to welcome the new players. After a long winter, the guys really look forward to seeing their teammates, sitting down to pizza, beverage and to talk softball.

The first place trophy for the American division went to Granny O'Shea's led by Manager Tom Taylor. The National division trophy went to Moby Drugs, managed by Tom Latona. O'Shea's made league history by becoming the only team to win the championship of both divisions. This feat was also remarkably accomplished in two consecutive years. The players of Moby Drugs also stood out and shined in winning this year's annual charity benefit tournament.

There was a standing ovation for Dom Bello who was inducted into the OHG Hall of Fame. Dom was a board member, manager and outstanding player for 22 years. League President Jim Reilly stated that Dom's dedication helped form the structure and success we share today. "Thanks Dom."

There was a solemn moment when we remembered our brothers who passed on: Jim Gannon, Jake Considine, Bob Moromey and Ken Reynolds.

We thank the party committee: Paul Nardone, Bill Moyer and helpers. Congratulations to our new grandparents. We have two happy families. Dom and Fran Bello announce the birth of their granddaughter Nicole, born to their son Dom and his wife Debbie. Edwin and Ann Marie Bernauer were also blessed with a granddaughter, Nikki Marie, born to their son Edwin Jr. and his wife Lorraine.
