There is still time to register children for the upcoming Farmingdale Baseball League season. Registrations will be taken at the FBLI equipment "shack" at 34D Hempstead Tpke., behind GEM Electronics. There is a late registration free of $10 per child. The "shack" is generally open from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Please call 249-7375 to confirm that it will be open or for more information.
Special 50th anniversary FBLI jackets are now in stock. Youth and adult sizes are available for purchase at the shack.
Tickets are on sale for the special dinner dance to be held on June 16 at the New Stuart Thomas Manor (at Boundary and Broadway). Come help the league celebrate 50 years of Farmingdale Youth Baseball. The event includes a buffet dinner, live DJ performance by the Traditions. The dinner will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $40 per person and are available at the "shack."
April 22 - Parade Day 2 p.m. in celebration of opening day. Players will be marching down Main Street to Allen Park. Residents are invited to see local Fire Department Apparatus, marching bands, (including bag pipers), local dignitaries and some surprises.
April 28 - Picture Day. Times to be determined for each team.
June 9 - Baseball Day. Games, food and special 50th anniversary events.
