Nassau County Legislator Salvatore Pontillo voted in support of local legislation expanding the real property tax exemption for disabled residents. Pontillo was a co-sponsor of the legislation.

"I was pleased to be able to co-sponsor and support this important legislation," Pontillo said. "This local legislation expands the real property tax exemption for disabled persons to the maximum amount permissible under state law."

The legislation allows certain Nassau County residents to remain eligible for this program despite the small increases they may have received in disability payments or social security.
